Testimonials

Duke spoke to our staff team about his lived experiences of racism to help in our vision of making Barton Peveril an anti-racist community where everyone feels welcome. Fantastic talk and truly inspiring content.

Duke provided our students with a fantastically genuine and powerful account of his life experiences and some of the challenges and mistakes that have blighted him at times, but ultimately shaped him into the man he is today.

Duke is an Equality, Diversity & Inclusion officer and shared his story about how he has turned his life around from being involved in gang crime – great session! Duke’s talks are highly inspirational and so insightful.

Having seen Duke’s inspirational work with young people, I invited him as the keynote speaker at a staff training day on anti-racism and equity. Duke expertly intertwines his own experiences with the professional experience he has gained to help educators understand the impact of racism and discrimination and how we can tackle this in schools and colleges.

Duke came to Sevenoaks School to deliver a presentation on Resilience to your Yr13 – but it was so much more than that.

Duke got the students thinking about their own identities and what was important in their lives and how to stay true to that.

There were life lessons for us all in what he said.
